Event Description

We are delighted to present to you on Saturday 19 February, an Afro Ndombolo dance workshop. An hour and half of various old and new school Afro & Ndombolo dance moves with our very own Steven, who has toured many countries to share his passion for dance.

Founder of MOTEMA Afro movement, Choreographer, Dance Artist and interpret, Steven is originally from Congo, but has moved to South Africa for 9 years, where he established his own dance school. He, then, has traveled, taught and performed in countries like: Mozambique, Senegal, Brazil, Belgium, France, USA and UK, a variety of African dances. He is fresh from an intensive study in African Contemporary and Traditional Dance at the renowned Ecole des Sables in Senegal.

His energy is electric and his class is very welcoming to all dance levels!
Check him out by yourself.

The workshop will be touching on Afro dance trending moves, fundamentals of some African Urban and Traditional Dances and of course Motema's Ndombolo style. The first half will be an “easy” warm up and breakdown of different movements, and in the second half we will be learning an easy to remember Ndombolo choreography.

We're excited to share our energies and experiences with you and can't wait to see you on the dance floor.
This is the place to be on Saturday 19th February if you wanna have a lot of fun learning something new and stay in shape.
Don't miss out! Book now, spaces are limited.
