Event Description

The Black Art Social explores black art, history and culture whilst channeling creativity. A Sip and Paint with substance, we encourage important discussions as inspiration for your masterpieces, as well as exploring key pieces by black artists. With intimate groups to encourage new social connections, you can expect icebreakers, artsy warm-up exercises and fizz to get your creative juices flowing!

In celebration of Black History Month, this month's Sip & Paint workshop explores Portraits - we will analyse and discuss a range of historical black figures before you are given the materials you need to create your own Portrait in the style of your choice. What are the importance of portraits in black culture? Do you want your portrait to convey a specific emotion or theme? Will you paint who you are, who you were or who you want to be? Whether you are an art novice or the new Basquiat, all levels are welcome!

Complimentary goodies and surprises on the day, plus a large selection of delicious food and drink options available to purchase.

All materials you need to create your masterpiece provided, including paints, canvas, aprons and bags to bring your art home safely!
