Join us for an electrifying dance performance at the City of Westminster College, Paddington Green Campus! Get ready to be amazed by the incredible moves and rhythms of talented dancers and musicians.

Aida Diop - Dancer, teacher, and choreographer of traditional West African dance rhythms, as part of this project she will be, dancing and visually documenting workshops with Pape Moussa Sonko back in Senegal Heritage 2023 Vol.3 Workshop International; Aida will document traditions of dance in her homeland, along with other artists participating who are also based abroad. Several artists will travel to their homeland; Senegal, to teach visitors and locals the significance of their art.

Back in the UK, AiDance will present a theatrical dance performance along with AiDance students, guests' artists, and musicians. The performance incorporates traditional West African dance forms together with traditional storytelling with Kora player Sefo Kanuteh and Singer Binta Suso.

Binta will be singing and narrating movements interpreted by Adriano Oliveira and Ofelia Balogun.

The exciting traditional flute will be played by Baba Galle accompanied by some of the best drummers based here in the UK...

This in-person event promises to be a night of non-stop excitement and entertainment. From traditional to modern, this dance performance has it all. So mark your calendars and come witness the magic of movement at this unforgettable event!

The weekend will be packed full of vibrant dance, on Saturday with four different styles of Sabar dance workshops and on Sunday three traditional Djembe styles by knowledgeable women teachers hailing from Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mali.
