Event Description

Join us for a night of conversation, screenings, music and live performance to celebrate the launch of Memorializing and Decolonizing Practices in the Francophone Caribbean and Other Spaces edited by Stephanie Melyon-Reinette.

The book gathers together self-portraits, analytical essays and ethnographies to explore the intersection between self-determination, intimacy and geopolitics throughout postcolonial France and the French Caribbean.

The book's editor Stéphanie Melyon-Reinette, will be joined by Martinican artist Jean-François Boclé, Guadeloupean DJ Nindo Tune and independent curators Alinta Sara and Amina Lawal Agoro.
