Due low tickets sales, we regret to announce that we're having to POSTPONE this event until March 2026. 

A new date will be announced in the new year!

Rhythm Generation (RG) invites you to a night of solidarity and celebration of Diversity. With African culture, music, food and fashion, we will befundraising for South Norwood Community Kitchen and the Sudan Crisis Appeal. 

Cheikh Diop, founder of Rhythm Generation, & friends invite you to an afternoon and night of immersing at The Arena Music Venue inSouth-Norwood, Croydon.

What to expect on the day:

  • - Drum Circle for families
  • - Djembe Drumming Workshop for young people and adults
  • - Gala Dinner including Live DJ & percussion set while you enjoy our authentic succulent African dishes presented to you by our specialist chef, Ousmane from Senegal
  • - Interactive drumming performance inviting all audiences to grab adrum and play or dance your feet off
  • - Exhibition and sale of beautiful African style clothing , accessories andcraft by the Afric’Arts Shop

Solidarity:
There’s always an opportunity to show support to those in need, this one to raise funds for:

  • - The South Norwood Community Kitchen –a local charity in the heart of the Community doing wonderful things keepingpeople socially connected. 50% of tickets sales proceeds will be donated toSNCK
  • - The Sudan Crisis Appeal by many charities including UNICEF, Islamic Relief& Oxfam for years-long war torn Sudan where seemingly forgotten populations including children are going through hunger, illness and painful death in a zone already devasted by natural disasters. 50% of tickets sales proceeds will be donated to ONE of the above charities.

The Artists:

  • - Cheikh Diop – lead artist drummer from Senegal and founder of Rhythm Generation. Cheikh is a cultural ambassador for African tradition and highly skilled musician who’s talent and approach to connecting with his audience is off the charts. With a 20+ years’ experience of facilitating workshops and entertaining audiences across the U.K, Rhythm Generation boasts a highly acclaimed pallet of energetic shows that will stay with you for a lifetime.
  • - A special DJ
  • - Ousmane Camara – a highly experienced drummer from Senegal, Ousmane is a dun-dun, djembe and sabar player that any drummer would want to share a stage with for his amazing ability to improvise and maintain high energetic rhythms to support a great show.

If you’re looking for classy and colourful items to brighten your wardrobe, jewellery shelf or decorative craft for your home, we have got you covered. We have a large selection of African wax print made clothes, hats, bags, earrings; wood & silver, shoes, shirts,dresses etc… All that at very friendly prices.

Refund Policy

Only in case of cancellation by the organiser's fault, all ticket purchasers will be offered a choice between an alternative ticket or a refund.

AfroMoya fees are not refundable.
